Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.
I don’t usually join blog challenges (even though I started my own) because…well, because I see what other people do and I’m all like “OMG I’M NOT THAT GOOD!” But after 7 weeks, I’ve decided to try out the SL Disneybound challenge from Style Minions. They are seven weeks in so I’m now playing catch up. I skipped week one (Peter Pan) because I had too many ideas, I have to figure out just one to use! I’m also trying to use stuff I already have and not going out of my way to buy specific items for it so we’ll see how that goes…
Week Two: Ariel
Week Four: Snow White
Week Five: Dory
Swagger is defined by Websters as “arrogant or conceitedly self-assured behaviour”. So with that definition, SWAG fest would be about “arrogant or conceitedly self-assured behaviour” which I guess it is, what with all the loose mesh tank tops (you know, those ones that show lots of side boob) that have some design saying ‘Fuck your swag’ and the baggy jeans / sweat pants because nothing says self-assured arrogance like big ass pants that make you look like a hobo wearing diapers. Is it obvious that I’m not very impressed with SWAG fest? Don’t get me wrong, there were a few items that appealed to me but the ones that did are available in the mainstore and are not SWAG fest exclusive. One thing that I did love are these Star Studded Denim mesh skinny jeans from paper.doll. I love the stud star on the back pockets and the fit is great! They are reasonably priced and are available in a variety of great flashy, arrogant colours.
On to something not related to SWAG fest…although, some might say the new Senesy sneaker from [ JP ]:dsg have lots of swag…or is that swagger? I have no idea how to use that word properly but these shoes have it. I love these shoes so much. They look amazing. [ JP ]:dsg meshes are 100% custom built and rigged. Their meshes are built from scratch to ensure the highest quality for every new item. No rehashed, overused mesh here!
Senesy is a unisex shoe with countless possibilities. And by countless, I mean it! There are 13 components to this shoe (I numbered them in the photo below) that can be customized to 14 different colour options. Actually, it’s 13 components x 2 because each shoe can be customized separately if you want to be fancy and unique like that.
All the customizable options, plus crazy realistic textures and a resizer for the perfect fit makes Senesy a must-have for any shoe enthusiast.
Hope everyone had a great long weekend! (or regular weekend for everyone that doesn’t have a holiday today). I guess lots of stuff happened this weekend in terms of releases including a bunch of cute stuff from My Attic. If you’ve never been before, everything is 95L including the great new hairs from Exile and Ploom. Obviously I had to snatch up the Exile release because it’s my favourite hair brand and while I don’t usually buy Ploom, this IS a pigtail style so….well, we all know how I feel about pigtails. Since Exile’s release is called Secret Summer, I was inspired to use Exposeur’s new Beach Ball Baby poses. So adorable and part of a great summer series from Exposeur.
