Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.
N-Core has a new group gift out! Like me, you might be thinking, “Oh, another pair of Coquette‘s.” But no! It’s a
new mesh shoe called Lulu! I’ve always liked the shoes from N-Core but the foot shape always seemed……off. These Lulu‘s have a normal foot shape though! Isn’t that exciting!
N-Core has a “click & match” system which I believe is similar to Gos but sadly, these don’t have that feature. You gotta use that old annoying RGB HUD. These are still really cute shoes and they are FREE! The N-Core group is free to join so really, what are you waiting for?
**UPDATE** I’ve been informed by N-Core creator Nuria Augapfel that these shoes are actually “sculpted (not mesh^^) actually they are not new, they were released about a year ago in other 4 single colors. …that all (i mean all) the shoes from the store have exactly the same sculpted feet (excluding the new mesh line of shoes and the new mesh feet^^).”
Last year there was this Flickr challenge called Raid Your Closet. The gist of it is that you can’t buy ANYTHING new for these pics, just using items already purchased in your inventory. You have to wear something different for each look. You can have “exceptions” like the same skin or shape, etc. They just have to be stated on the first post like this one. My “basics” are going to stay the same (shape, skin, eyes, lashes). This is a five post challenge, every Monday for the month of Octobe (Yes I know I missed the first Monday) so here is my first Raid Your Closet post.
This outfit is comprised of my favourites, like the Pause hair from Analog Dog, the cross from -tb- and the low rise faded jeans from fri.day that were a FLF special. And the boots! Oh My Gah! Remember when they were THE thing to have? Ok, maybe you don’t but I do! Everyone and their mother had these boots from DRD and wore them all the time, no matter the outfit. They are still one of my favourite pair of boot and I kind of hope they will come out in mesh one day.
The plaid shirt/sweater combo is from COCO. I believe it was a free gift, one that I’ve never worn. Honest. It’s been sitting in my inventory, unused since the day I got it. Chances are this will be the only time I wear it as well because, well, you know how prim clothing is. All stiff and doesn’t move with you like mesh does. Although it makes for great layering with an Everyday Tank from BOOM.
If you have flickr or plurk or a blog, check out SL Blogger Support for all the details.
There’s a new club in SL. It’s pretty crazy too. Energy Club is 3 floors of space to get your groove on plus tons more including a gift shop with TONS of free gifts from top designers like CnS e-motion, Maxi Gossamer, Belleza, and many more. Most of the great gifts are mesh like Cynful’s black kini that is…you know, perfect for wearing to a club…………
I did something I thought I would never do. I bought something because it’s the trending thing right now. Ombre hair colouring, which has been trending for about 6 years now, is apparently still going strong…or just hitting the SL market now. I’m not a big fan of ombre BUT Exile is one of my favourite hair brands and since a few of the new demos are offered in the “Natural Fusion” colouring, I decided to pick up my last two Exile purchases in this style. I have to admit, some of them aren’t too bad but there’s 3 or 4 that I don’t like.
I’m also back on the coldLogic trend…if you’d classify it as that. Many coldLogic products are hit&miss for me, generally not my style. I ended up at the store today and bought a couple of the new ‘fall’ sweaters. Again, not really my style but I’m going to try some new looks this fall (maybe). The Cook & Shereda tops really are perfect for the fall and have a preppy, business casual look to them which makes it a versatile shirt to have.
Since we are/were on the topic of hair, I HAVE to mention Truth’s new group gift Sam. It’s a non-rigged mesh, short style that (I hate to say) kind of reminds me of Rhianna. Despite that, I love this hair something fierce. Like all group gifts, group members get the fatpack which means EVERY colour pack available for you, for freeeeeee.
