Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.
Good thing I held off on the announcement that I’d finally be getting a male blogger to bring some class to this blog up! Last night, before everything went to hell, I went and bought Glam Affair‘s Zara. Which means I actually bought $L just for this purchase. For most, that’s probably normal but that’s a HUGE deal for me. I hardly buy $L, and when I do, it’s never for one specific item. I became a huge Glam Affair fan with Linn and I haven’t looked back since. Zara is no different. This skin is fawless (imo) and comes in great variety of makeups to satisfy all your needs. It’s available now at Skin Fair until the end of the month, then I imagine will be available in the mainstore after.
One of my favourites from this year’s Skin Fair comes from a designer that I’ve never thought I would want a skin from. I know that sounds so mean but it’s the truth! Iren has two new skins out at the fair, Addison and Alexa. Both come with the “matching” shape (I used my own shape and just modified it a bit), with & without eyebrows, 2 Makeups along with a “nude” version, and freckle & cleavage layer (among various others). It’s available in 6 skintones AND COMES WITH LOLA APPLIERS!!!! Exciting isn’t it! What’s really cool is that you can buy a version that COMES WITH mesh hands. Yes, I said mesh hands. MESH HANDS THAT ALREADY MATCH YOUR SKIN. So great right!?
English Muffin also has a new skin release, Rini, but I totally fell in lust with their Doe Eyes. It’s the great baby deer eyes that are just oh-so-cute! They come in 5 colours, as well as dark and light versions.
I honestly didn’t think I would wear my LOLA Tangos very often but now that Glam Affair has released a skin applier (for the new skin tones), I think I might be showing them off a lil more. Whether mesh/prim boobs are a fad or not, it still is great to see some of the top skin and clothing designers embrace them.
Because of LAQ’s new skin release, I mentioned in my previous post that I was changing skins…or debating it anyway. That got me thinking about how often people actually do change skins. As a blogger, I suppose that I should be always wearing the newest skin releases but I hardly ever do. I rarely buy a new skin unless I’m desperately in love with it. It also got me wondering if most bloggers have a “blog look” and a “everyday look”. If they do, what’s different? Pretty much everything I wear is what I’m wearing for the rest of the SL day. I know there are some bloggers who buy a skin just for blogging and once done taking pictures, change into another. Maybe if I had the money for it, I might do that but I don’t.
While I’m still debating about switching to LAQ’s old Vilda skin, I figured I’d show the three other skins that I’ve worn the longest (minus Tuli’s Claire because I think I accidentally deleted it 😦 ).
I know there are tons of hair stores out there, I know this because I always see them on plurk and flickr. Knowing this, I always still seem to flip-flop between Exile and Truth. It’s now a Truth week because of the new releases! Of course I had to grab Dolly because, hello! Pigtails! So adorable, right?!
Sara really grabbed my attention because there is a simplistic, classiness to it. The headband is also colour changeable which is always a great feature.
LAQ released their new skin line…which I did not get. But pretty much everyone and their grandmother bought it so don’t worry about not seeing it enough. Why am I mentioning this you ask? Well, I’ve been trying to clean out my inventory and I came across LAQ‘s Vilda skin that I got when it came out but wore it for like maybe a week? I tried it on again and I still love how it looks! So what do you think: stick with Glam Affair‘s Cassiopeia or switch to LAQ‘s Vilda?
