My Darling Deer

Despite my small obsession with deer, moose, and antlers as decor, I’m not very big on actually wearing them. It’s seems many people are though because Half Deer‘s gacha machine at The Arcade for the Eternum Antlers was probably one of the most popular ones. I have no actual facts to prove this, I’m just going on the fact that many yard sales were FLOODED with them. Obviously people spent a ton of money, piling up duplicates, trying for one of the three rares. I liked the look of them. They are pretty cool and well done so I did snatch up the White Pink Studded ones (at a discount I might add!). The Arcade is open until the end of the month, so there’s still time to try your luck!

Glam Affair Skin Appliers

I honestly didn’t think I would wear my LOLA Tangos very often but now that Glam Affair has released a skin applier (for the new skin tones), I think I might be showing them off a lil more. Whether mesh/prim boobs are a fad or not, it still is great to see some of the top skin and clothing designers embrace them.

Stop Gawking!

Most “popular” stores are leaving system layers behind and turning to mesh. One store that is still rocking the layers is Gawk! So much so, that updated versions of products are being released, including the Tummy Shirt. The collar and sleeves are prim attachments and is now available in a ton of new colours aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there are Tango appliers, sol separately,  for every colour.  Gawk has been ‘updating’ many products to include Tango appliers so definitely head over and see what’s available if you’re looking for sexy, not trashy, clothing to wear with your Tangos.

Truth also has three new hairs out, the full release of January (fades pack is the free group gift), an aptly named Winter that comes with a colour changing scarf, and this super cute Zuzka, which is a great loose, messy, loopy pigtail style.

2013 already. It seems like 2012 went by so quick. It was definitely full of some great high points (like 26,000 views) and some really low points. BUT it’s a new year, so time for a fresh start. Or a continuance of the same ol’ same ol’. One thing that will be the same is my love of hats. Much to my delight, Wasabi Pills has the new Lumi style out at fame shed faMESHed. There were some people on plurk commenting about the lack of bangs and/or the dislike of the wispy hair things but in my opinion, this looks great and bangs with a toque are sometimes hard to pull off in SL. They tend to look very chunky, awkward, and out of place. There’s a HUD included which gives you the option to change the toque colour, button colour, and the colour of the thread that holds the button on.

insanya had this awesome mesh coat that was available for 85L at FROST (which closes today, Jan. 2). It is was available in 6 different colours of plaid and I hope it will be available in the mainstore because this is a must have for the winter season in SL.

That Old Timey Feeling

Collabor88 is set to get you ready for winter. There are ton of winter themed items available during the December round including Auxiliary‘s Cozy Knit sweater, which comes in a variety of colours and your choice of plain or with this cute reindeer pattern. u.f.o. has two items out, a beautiful dress and this adorable lamb’s woolly knob hat that I got in beige but also comes in black, grey, and blue. Paired together, this look made me feel all vintage-y and cozy. Also kinda cute, don’tcha think?
