Red Solo Cup: Footloose

I know! I Know! I’m a day late and I’m sorry for those (one or two) that have been eagerly waiting for this week’s Red Solo Cup inspiration! This week was just soooooooooooooooooooooooo long. So when yesterday came, the only thing that was on my mind was Footloose! I think I listened to the song about a million times (ok maybe not a MILLION but a bunch) and I watched the end of Footloose (the 2011 version because it’s the only one on Netflix) a couple times because it’s just awesome and makes you feel like dancing! So if you haven’t figured it out yet, this week’s inspiration is FOOTLOOSE! I channeled my inner Kevin Bacon with my grey sweater, bleached jeans, and white hightops to get my dance on. I REALLY, REALLY can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!

Kitsch Me, Baby.

To be honest, I didn’t know Collabor88 had themes. But looking back at previous rounds, I guess that makes sense. This theme for this round is kitsch. You probably don’t know what that is. Most people don’t. Basically, it’s ugly knick-knacks that your gam-gam has around her house from the 50′s. I think anyway…. But back to C88, whether it’s kitsch or not, it’s kinda filled with floral prints and bright pastel colours. And awesomeness. Like EVERYTHING TEE*FY HAS OUT. The Chloe Slouchy Booties, Lovisa Ruffle Mini Skirt, and Rachel Ruffle Sweater come in a variety of colours and prints (aforementioned floral included). Maxi Gossamer is also getting in the kitsch mood with three new necklace sets, Juicy Lips rings, and bangles. I had to pick up the Robot Dream Ride set which includes a cute robot and a penny-farthing, both of which can be wore together or separate. Floorplan has some kitschy furniture out as well, including these Kitsch Wall Plates. I especially love the flamingo one and the DMX lyrics. So…kitschy.

Glam Affair Skin Appliers

I honestly didn’t think I would wear my LOLA Tangos very often but now that Glam Affair has released a skin applier (for the new skin tones), I think I might be showing them off a lil more. Whether mesh/prim boobs are a fad or not, it still is great to see some of the top skin and clothing designers embrace them.

That Old Timey Feeling

Collabor88 is set to get you ready for winter. There are ton of winter themed items available during the December round including Auxiliary‘s Cozy Knit sweater, which comes in a variety of colours and your choice of plain or with this cute reindeer pattern. u.f.o. has two items out, a beautiful dress and this adorable lamb’s woolly knob hat that I got in beige but also comes in black, grey, and blue. Paired together, this look made me feel all vintage-y and cozy. Also kinda cute, don’tcha think?

New York State of Mind

To be honest, I have no idea what to write. Pretty great right? Emery has some new mesh NYC tops. Available in a variety of colours, this is a great “lazy days” top.
