Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.
I don’t usually join blog challenges (even though I started my own) because…well, because I see what other people do and I’m all like “OMG I’M NOT THAT GOOD!” But after 7 weeks, I’ve decided to try out the SL Disneybound challenge from Style Minions. They are seven weeks in so I’m now playing catch up. I skipped week one (Peter Pan) because I had too many ideas, I have to figure out just one to use! I’m also trying to use stuff I already have and not going out of my way to buy specific items for it so we’ll see how that goes…
Week Two: Ariel
Week Four: Snow White
Week Five: Dory
I know! I Know! I’m a day late and I’m sorry for those (one or two) that have been eagerly waiting for this week’s Red Solo Cup inspiration! This week was just soooooooooooooooooooooooo long. So when yesterday came, the only thing that was on my mind was Footloose! I think I listened to the song about a million times (ok maybe not a MILLION but a bunch) and I watched the end of Footloose (the 2011 version because it’s the only one on Netflix) a couple times because it’s just awesome and makes you feel like dancing! So if you haven’t figured it out yet, this week’s inspiration is FOOTLOOSE! I channeled my inner Kevin Bacon with my grey sweater, bleached jeans, and white hightops to get my dance on. I REALLY, REALLY can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!
Pose Fair is open! Ok, yeah it’s been open for a while but you know me…I don’t really blog poses. AND IT CLOSES TOMORROW! I’m really good right? lol. I didn’t pick up much except the Whimsy pose pack from aDORKable poses and this cuuuuuute Honeybuns couple pose from D. Luxx. So go now! NOW! Cause it’s closing tomorrow and if you miss it, you’ll have to wait until it’s the main store (probably).
Isn’t it funny how you can forget about stores that were once your “Go To” places? Take Grasp for example. When I started to “get into fashion” and realized how ugly (imo) bling was, I discovered Grasp. It was definitely one of my favourite stores…then mesh happened. And my style changed. And I stopped going to Grasp. Recently, I went back because someone told me they have made some great mesh items. How right they were! The Fur Hooded Military Jacket is right up my alley and pretty amazing looking. It’s available for both men and women, comes in a variety of colours and the included HUD allows you to remove the shirt and/or change the texture (from solid, to plaid, to zebra). It also comes with a fur attachment for around the hood.
Strawberry Singh recently did a video tutorial on method for adding lightning and shadows in Photoshop that I decided to try out. I think I did alright?
