It’s taken me a few weeks to decide this and it wasn’t an easy decision by all means, but I think it’s time to let Next Pointless Trend fade away forever. I’ve enjoyed my time as a blogger and glad to have experienced that side of SecondLife.

Thank you to everyone who made this a success for me (in my eyes, 38000+ views ain’t too bad!). Thank you to all the designers/stores that enjoyed this blog enough to want me on their blogger list. Thank you to all the friends that kept encouraging me to continue this when I felt like giving up, some of my best posts were because of you.

Even though I won’t be updating Next Pointless Trend anymore, I can’t bring myself to delete it completely. So please enjoy past posts until the day comes that I decide to let it go for good.

My First Jeans from Monso

I find out about lots of new products from Juicybomb, including My First Jeans from Monso. I tend to find a jeans I ~~like~~ love and then never take them off. Like Maitreya‘s jeans…I LOVED them and they were the only thing I wore for the longest time. Then it was Crash Republic. Now it’s Deetales but I think the new favourite might be My First Jeans from Monso. These look great, come in two styles (light and dark stitching), and along with regular “jean” colours there are “funky” colours available at faMESHed. I highly suggest trying out the demo, these might end up being your new “go to” jeans!

Red Solo Cup: Strength

This week was a really tough week for me for various reasons, including a medical scare. So this week’s Red Solo Cup challenge is Strength.

Strength means many things to many people. For me, this week, strength was being able to smile and keep it together while faced with difficult situations. I faced many possible “break downs” this week, but managed to keep it under control for the benefit of others.

I don’t usually join blog challenges (even though I started my own) because…well, because I see what other people do and I’m all like “OMG I’M NOT THAT GOOD!” But after 7 weeks, I’ve decided to try out the SL Disneybound challenge from Style Minions. They are seven weeks in so I’m now playing catch up. I skipped week one (Peter Pan) because I had too many ideas, I have to figure out just one to use! I’m also trying to use stuff I already have and not going out of my way to buy specific items for it so we’ll see how that goes…

N-Core’s Lulu

N-Core has a new group gift out! Like me, you might be thinking, “Oh, another pair of Coquette‘s.” But no! It’s a ~~new mesh~~ shoe called Lulu! I’ve always liked the shoes from N-Core but the foot shape always seemed……off. These Lulu‘s have a normal foot shape though! Isn’t that exciting!

N-Core has a “click & match” system which I believe is similar to Gos but sadly, these don’t have that feature. You gotta use that old annoying RGB HUD. These are still really cute shoes and they are FREE! The N-Core group is free to join so really, what are you waiting for?

**UPDATE** I’ve been informed by N-Core creator Nuria Augapfel that these shoes are actually “sculpted (not mesh^^) actually they are not new, they were released about a year ago in other 4 single colors. …that all (i mean all) the shoes from the store have exactly the same sculpted feet (excluding the new mesh line of shoes and the new mesh feet^^).”

Red Solo Cup: Footloose

I know! I Know! I’m a day late and I’m sorry for those (one or two) that have been eagerly waiting for this week’s Red Solo Cup inspiration! This week was just soooooooooooooooooooooooo long. So when yesterday came, the only thing that was on my mind was Footloose! I think I listened to the song about a million times (ok maybe not a MILLION but a bunch) and I watched the end of Footloose (the 2011 version because it’s the only one on Netflix) a couple times because it’s just awesome and makes you feel like dancing! So if you haven’t figured it out yet, this week’s inspiration is FOOTLOOSE! I channeled my inner Kevin Bacon with my grey sweater, bleached jeans, and white hightops to get my dance on. I REALLY, REALLY can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!

Faire’s Fair

There are a few events going on in SL at the moment (aren’t there always?) but this weekend, the fifth Fantasy Faire opens. Personally, I’ve never been but I hear it’s quite amazing, especially if you are into fantasy wear. Plus, it’s a Relay For Life event so it’s for a good cause too! Pin Me Down will be one of the vendors at the faire (sharing a stall with SAKIDE this year, so you can find them on the Lotus Valley Dream sim) with some exclusive makeups. The Warrior comes in a faded black, and faded white which is tintable you can make it any colour you want. Myst comes in six different layers so you wear it how you want. Because this is a RFL event, 100% of the purchase price will go to donations. Another Warrior makeup will be a hunt prize that goes on for the duration of the Faire.

Speaking of fairs, Kawaii Fair has already started and runs until the 26th (or 28th? Both dates are listed on the blog so I’m not sure). Kawaii is full of ~~nauseously~~ adorably cute everything! Most of it isn’t my style but had to pick up this super cute Panda Tank Top from (R E D). It’s a panda! How can you not want it?!

Oh, one last thing, this week’s Red Solo Cup challenge is Austin Powers / 60′s British Invasion! I got inspired because someone on plurk mentioned that with LeLutka‘s Bouffant hair, I looked like a fembot from Austin Powers. So originally I wanted to take a picture with a bunch of girls, all with the same lingerie and hair but because of various issues, it ended up just being Aevalah and I. I think we would be some pretty damn hot fembots.

I can’t wait to see all your submissions in the Flickr group because I think this will be a real fun theme for everyone!!

I probably should have mentioned this over the weekend but Apple May Designs new mesh dress September was available for 75L. Now it’s regular price. Yeah….sorry about that. It’s available in three “muted” colours (taupe, pink, and sky) and comes with a cute matching, mesh collar.

LeLutka also has some recently released hair. Usually I don’t go for the big “lion mane” like hair but I couldn’t resist picking up Bouffant. Also included is a separate pearl tiara attachment that adds a little something something to the style. Bouffant is definitely an attention grabbing and versatile hairstyle.

While I’m killin’ time, being lazy.

Don’t you just love those lazy days? The ones where you don’t really have to get dressed, you can just bum around all day? Well, Mon Tissu just came out with the new Oversized Shirt perfect for those leisurely days. I was hoping for more colour options but there are enough to make it hard to choose just one. I went with yellow because I’m on a colour kick lately. I’ve noticed most of my newish clothing is either pink or a bland colour like beige or grey so I need to add a little something something every once in a while. I’ve paired it up with Maitreya‘s Stefani pants ’cause come on, nothing says lazy like sweat pants.

Tee*fy released the super cute Skyla Ruffle Sleeve Tank which is perfect for the upcoming summer season! And it goes great with their Lovisa Ruffle Mini Skirt that is now available at Collabor88. Erratic also just released some great mesh owl bracelets. They come in 4 “metals” (gold, silver, bronze and pinkgold). Owls are so trendy right now so you know, go be trendy!
